Securing the ram to the rack has gradually been modified by machining the rack contact surface (1) and by using a washer (2) 3,5 mm thick instead of 2,5 mm

• Washer 3,5 mm thick Part No. 6949.24 instead of a washer 2,5 mm thick Part No. 5173.14

Replacing a ram

Fit a new washer (2)

• 2,5 мм (реферанс P.R 5173.14), if the contact surface (1) is untreated
• 3,5 мм (реферанс P.R 6949.24), if the contact surface (1) is machined

Fit the new ram with ball joints (3), запас ЗЧ соответствует норме

For rams with identification prior to 605-20-XXX-94, the tightening torque is 8 da.Nm

Two successive modifications have been made to the steering assembly on the following points

Increase of the diameters

• Dia. (A) of the track rods (1) and dia. (B) of the thread
• Dia. (C) of the threaded section of the ball joint (2)
• Dia. (D) of the gaiter (3) on the valve side
• Dia. (E) of the protector (4) on the opposite side to the valve

Identification is carried out by measuring the diameter (A) of the track rod

Взаимозаменяемость

No interchangeability is permitted between assemblies with a track rod of dia. (A) 18 mm and assemblies with a dia. of 20 mm or 22 mm

The 20 mm diameter no longer exists, it has been replaced with the 22 mm diameter

Parts Division will now only supply parts corresponding to 18 mm and 22 mm diameter
