It reduces the pressure by bringing it to values close to that of atmospheric pressure; thus the gas is ready to be drawn in by the engine

The expansion/relief valve has 2 electrical components

Operation of the 1st stage
Жидкая фаза GPL проходит в полость (B) через канал (A)
В полости (B), подогреваемой охлаждающей жидкостью двигателя (2), жидкий газ переходит в газообразную фазу
Давление в (B) повышается, сжимая мембрану (4) и пружину (3) вплоть до закрытия клапана (1)
The chamber (F) is linked to atmospheric pressure via the hole (G)
The pressure of the LPG in the chamber (B) varies in relation to the atmospheric pressure
This device does not have any adjustment
Работоспособность электромагнитного клапана
The solenoid valve blocks the passage of the LPG from the 1st stage to the 2nd stage using a valve (11)
This solenoid valve cuts off the LPG supply to the engine via the ECU in the following conditions
- Отключение при снижении скорости
- Changing to petrol mode (operation of the switch)
- Cut-off in the event of a malfunction in LPG mode
- This solenoid valve also serves as a safety valve in the event of excess pressure in the 1st stage
Operation of the 2nd stage
The vacuum created by the plate diffuser in the chamber (C) acts on the diaphragm (6) allowing the LPG to escape via the valve (10) by compressing the spring (9)
The opening of the valve (10) is proportional to the vacuum in the chamber (C)
The calibration of the spring (9) is adjusted using the screw (8)
The chamber (D) is connected via the hole (7) by a vacuum on the intake pipe upstream of the air filter
This vacuum in the chamber (D) limits the movement of the diaphragm (6) at high engine speeds and thus corrects the flow of gas at (E)
Частные случаи: when the engine is at idle, the vacuum in the chamber (C) is too low to open the valve (10) sufficiently; a screw (5) creates a gas leak between the 1st and 2nd stages to permit correct operation
Operation of the stepper motor
The stepper motor 1809 corrects the LPG flow according to the ECU request
Depending on the type of vehicle, the stepper motor will be fitted on the expansion/relief valve or to one side on a pipe according to the space available in the engine compartment
Adjustment of the expansion/relief valve
The expansion/relief valve is adjusted using the diagnostic equipment (TEP92 or DIAG2000) by operating on the screws (5) and/or (8)
The diagnostic equipment will give a stepper motor position value

Подсоединить диагностический прибор к тестовому разъему
Start the engine with the switch in LPG mode
Прогреть двигатель (20 минут)
Двигатель на холостом ходу: the stepper motor position value (using the diagnostic equipment) should be between 75 # and 85 #
Если полученные параметры превышают 85 #, слегка открутить регулировочный винт (5), после чего нажать на акселератор и подождать возврата в режим холостого хода
Check the position of the stepper motor, repeat the operation if the value is not between 75 # and 85 #
Если полученные параметры меньше 75 #, слегка завернуть регулировочный винт (5), после чего нажать на акселератор и подождать возврата в режим холостого хода

Особенность': if the screw (5) is at its limit, on adjustment, it is then necessary to adjust the sensitivity screw (8); to do this, turn the screw (5) by half-turns to obtain a value close to 75 #, then make the final adjustment using screw (5) (как указано)
