The CNG high-pressure line (6) is routed from the CNG tank modules, parallel to the petrol feed and petrol vent lines at the left side of the vehicle underbody, to the front towards the CNG pressure reducer located at the bulkhead. Because this is not a circuit with feed and return, the CNG is conducted to the pressure reducer in just a stainless steel pipe.
The high-pressure lines of the CNG system are all manufactured from stainless steel, thus increasing the safety and the service life beyond the required extent.
Special cutting and bending tools (commercially available) must be used for working on the stainless steel high-pressure lines in the event of repairs.
Operations on the gas system must always be performed by specifically trained personnel. Proof that training in accordance with H757 has taken place is necessary.
Important: Improper dismantling of high-pressure lines, for example, may lead to severe injuries!
