Due to the installation of the two CNG tank modules (instead of the standard petrol tank in the rear area on the vehicle underbody), each having two pressure vessels, it has become necessary to modify the pipe routing of the exhaust system.
The front muffler and the rear muffler have been modified accordingly.

The exhaust pipe (1) is routed along the right side, under the two CNG tank modules (2) and (4), to the rear.
After the front muffler, the exhaust pipe runs almost at right angles towards the right to the outer sill panelling. Along the outer sill panelling, under the protective cover of the CNG tank modules, and again to the rear in the longitudinal direction.
Then behind the rear CNG tank module, back towards the vehicle centre and opens there into the rear muffler.
The separation point (3) between the front muffler and rear muffler is located on the side between the two CNG tank modules.

This modification ensures adequate vehicle ground clearance. This also prevents heating of the CNG tank modules.
