The Zafira CNG has an emergency tank (3) which has a filling capacity of 15 litres.

The vehicle is therefore "bivalent" (alternative operation with petrol/CNG), but the petrol supply in the vehicle is only to aid driving to the next petrol station.

The emergency tank is located between the two CNG tank modules (2) on the vehicle underbody.

The petrol supply is indicated in the same was as the CNG supply, via the same standard tank indicator in the instrument panel.

The fuel reserve indicator illuminates for the corresponding operating mode, as soon as this enters the fuel reserve range.

The selection of operating mode alone determines which fuel supply is indicated.

The emergency tank is filled via the modified tank filler port using pump nozzles at petrol stations.

A separator (1) is connected upstream from the line to the activated carbon canister. This prevents liquid petrol from entering the activated carbon canister.
