| Cause: | Misalignment of alternator bracket. |
| Production: | Non. |
Remedy:
In case of customer complaint align the alternator bracket.
Working Procedure:
1. Disconnect battery.
2. Remove alternator
- see working procedure "Alternator, Remove and Install", group "J", Service Instruction Astra-G.
3. Loosen fastening screws (picture I, arrows) of alternator bracket.
4. Push alternator bracket into direction of belt drive (picture II, arrow).
5. Tighten fastening screws of alternator bracket finger tight.
Note:
Do not change position of alternator bracket.
6. Tighten fastening screws of alternator bracket - tightening torque: fastening screw M10 48 Nm fastening screw M14 68 Nm
7. Install alternator
- see working procedure "Alternator, Remove and Install", group "J", Service Instruction Astra-G.
8. Connect battery.
9. Program volatile memories.
