The speed limiter is an enhancement to the existing cruise control system, previously described in New Technical Features for Movano MY 2004 (KTA-2588).
Both switches (1, 2) are modified for MY 2005, each switch having dual function as follows:

The location of the switches may vary, depending on the equipment level of the vehicle.
Cruise Control and Speed Limiter On/Off Switch
To activate cruise control or the speed limiter, the vehicle must be travelling above 30 km/h (20 mph).
When the upper half of the switch is pressed, cruise control is activated and cruising speed is set at the vehicle's current speed. When the lower half of the switch is pressed, the speed limiter is activated. The set cruise speed or limit speed appears on the display panel between the fuel and engine temperature displays.
Speed Increase/Decrease Switch
In either cruise control or speed limiter mode, the switch has speed increase (+) and speed decrease (-) functions to enable the driver to select and maintain a higher or lower speed as required.
