| Complaint: | P0335 (0) - Crankshaft sensor failure. Engine telltale (SVS) illuminates. |

| Cause: | ECU diagnosis software too sensitive. |
| Production: | As of July 2004 an improved software has been introduced in production. |
Remedy:
In case of customer complaint reprogram the ECU with new software available as of TIS 2000 CD 52. It is not necessary to exchange parts.
Note: Improved software is only available for the software-variant without EGR valve. For vehicles with EGR valve the EGR valve will be deactivated with the new software.
Proceed as follows when program ECU: During the software download the option "with EGR" has to be chosen and deleted. Than press button "Continue" and choose the software "without EGR".
