| Cause: | Software deviation of the oil pressure monitoring in the ECU. |
| Production: | Improved ECU software was introduced in production as of the following engine number: 20CC1637 (16.10.2003) |
In case of customer complaint reprogram ECU with improved software as of TIS 2000 CD 46 (Software version 10). Ensure that the oil pressure switches are installed correctly: Cylinder head (grey oil pressure switch) and cylinder block (blue oil pressure switch). If the oil pressure switches are mixed up during repair attempt the software update will not solve the complaint.
