Remedy:
In case of customer complaint the vehicles ABS and Instrument tyre configuration will need to be reprogrammed. This can be done using TECH 2 with a software version equal or greater than 12.700 (available with TIS 2000 CD47). The programming is performed in 2 stages. Please refer to TIS 2000 checking procedures if further clarification is necessary.
1. ABS: Repeat Tyre size calibration: TECH 2 selection: - MY03/04, - Vivaro, - Chassis, - ABS/ESP, - Programming, - Tyre Size Calibration: select installed tyre size (correct size from actual vehicle): 195/65 R16; 205/65 R16; 215/65 R16; 195/75 R16.
2. Instrument: For Vivaro without vehicle speed signal sensor in transmission perform following programming: TECH 2 selection: - MY03/04, - Vivaro, - Body, - Body Control Module, - Programming, Program Instrument: Select in menu for: - Speed Signal Input ABS - Tyre Configuration select 195/75 R16 / ABS
For Vivaro with vehicles speed signal sensor in transmission perform following programming: TECH 2 selection: - MY02/03/04, - Vivaro, - Body, - Body Control Module, - Programming, Program Instrument: Select in menu for: - Speed Signal Input: Gearbox - Tyre Configuration: select installed tyre size (195/65 R16; 205/65 R16; 215 / 65 R16; 195/75 R16 / ABS)
This will ensure that the latest / correct programming options are available within all possible configurations of vehicle specification.
Note: Speed signal sensor in transmission relates to component B24 in wiring diagram.
