Locking the unused cylinder head oil galleries with ball bearings in place of threaded plugs

Установка

Apply a drop of "LOCTITE FRENETANCH" (E3) to the ball bearing

Push in the ball bearing, using tools [1] and [3] until the tool [3] comes into contact with the cylinder head

Ремонт

Leaking Ø 9,525 mm ball bearing

Leaking Ø 9,525 mm ball bearing: ball bearings (6) and (7)

Insert a second ball

Leaking Ø 9,525 mm ball bearing: рабочий режим

Push in the ball bearing, using tools [1] and [2] until the tool [2] comes into contact with the cylinder head

Apply a drop of "LOCTITE FRENETANCH" (E3) to the second ball bearing

Push in the ball bearing, using tools [1] and [3] until the tool [3] comes into contact with the cylinder head

Leaking Ø 7,93 mm ball bearing

Заменить головку блока цилиндров

Leaking Ø 7,93 mm ball bearing: ball bearings (1), (2), (3) and (4)

Remove the ball bearing and replace it with a 9 x 100 mm threaded plug (реферанс 016325)

Push a Ø 5,55 mm ball bearing into the orifice (8) (реферанс 232704)

Position the tool [4] on the Ø 5,55 mm ball bearing

Strike the tool [4] to push in the Ø 5,55 mm ball bearing

Place a second Ø 5,55 mm ball bearing into the orifice (8)

Strike the tool [4] to eject the Ø 7,93 mm ball bearing from the cylinder head

Tap the end of the oil gallery (8) to a depth of 10 mm using a set of 9 x 100 mm taps

Screw a 9 x 100 mm threaded plug into the oil gallery (смотреть примечание)
