| Complaint: | Thrashing noise from torque converter can be heard at idle and/or driving mode. |
| Cause: | Insufficient tightening torque of the torque converter fixing screws. Screws can be loosen. |
| Production: | Production process optimised as of the following VIN-B/P, Rüsselsheim: W0L0ZCF6931115900 (Vectra-C, 11.04.03) and W0L0ZCF4831117449 (Signum, 11.04.03), Ellesmerport: W0L0ZCF6838097460 (01.05.03). |
In case of customer complaint remove starter motor. Check torque converter screws for correct torque (60 Nm). If loosen screws are found and no further damage is detectable, only new screws have to be used and tightened according spec (60 Nm). Damaged parts (starter motor, flex plate etc) or transmission have to be replaced.
