| Complaint: | Engine does not start during wiper motor is operating. |

| Cause: | At re-start after switching OFF the engine with actuated wiper motor (within 10 seconds) the signal of the cranckshaft sensor will not be identified by the ECU due to electrical interferences at terminal 15. |

Remedy:
In case of customer complaint install a cable bridge into the wiring harness of wiring harness plug X18 between pin 4 and pin 6.
Important: The actually valid circuit diagram has to be used to perform this field remedy.
Working Procedure:
1. Disconnect battery. 2. Detach and separate wiring harness plug X18 (Picture I, 1).
3. Separate wiring harness (Picture II).
- pull cables out of ribbed plastic tube (1) as far as possible
4. Cut through 2x cable (Picture III).
Note: Cut through both cables (1) and (2) at the same length.
Corsa-C - Pin 4 = cable colour black (0,5 mm²) - Pin 6 = cable colour red/blue (1,0 mm²)
Meriva - Pin 4 = cable colour black (0,5 mm²) - Pin 6 = cable colour red /white (1,0 mm²)
5. Install cable bridge into the wiring harness (Picture IV).
- slide heat shrinkable tube (1) over the cable red/blue (Corsa-C) respective red/white (Meriva) of wiring harness
- crimp cable pin 4 and cable pin 6 of wiring harness plug to cable red/blue (Corsa-C) respective red/white (Meriva) of wiring harness (2) using MKM-923-32
6. Insulate repair area at wiring harness (Picture V).
- slide heat shrinkable tube (1) over crimping - heat-up heat shrinkable tube using a hot air gun
- slide heat shrinkable tube (2) over the cable end of the black cable - heat-up heat shrinkable tube using a hot air gun
7. Install ribbed plastic tube to wiring harness (Picture VI, 1).
- fix ribbed plastic tube with insulation tape
8. Connect wiring harness plug X18 and attach it. 9. Connect battery. 10. Program volatile memories.
