| Complaint: | Possible damage of sealing / cylinder headcover. |

| Cause: | Problems may occur during installation of the cylinder head cover, due to possible production tolerances. Danger to damage the cylinder head cover sealing on the edges of the camshaft bearing caps. |

Remedy:
To avoid a damage of the sealing cylinder head cover, rework camshaft bearing caps with a file, in case of assembly problems.
1. Remove cylinder head cover
- see working procedure "cylinder head cover removal and installation", group "J", of the corresponding Service Instruction.
2. Cover cylinder head, camshafts and valve assembly with a cloth.
3. Carefully file off the edges of the camshaft bearing caps (see Pic. I, arrows)in the affected area, by using a small file.
Note:
Avoid damage of sealing surfaces and take care not to soil the engine.
4. Afterwards remove all chips completely and remove the cloth.
5. Install cylinder head cover
