Switching on the system
On pressing the switch (7300) the control unit (1325) is supplied with 12 +ve at its terminal 30
The cruise control system will operate only in the following conditions

- The stop lamp switch (2100) is open (no action on the brake pedal)
- The brake safety switch (7308) is closed (no action on the brake pedal)
- The clutch safety switch (7306) is closed (no action on the clutch pedal)
Stalk moved upwards
The vehicle is not in cruise control
- If no speed is stored in memory, moving the stalk upwards will store the vehicle's current speed
- If a speed is already memorised, moving the stalk upwards recalls the memorised speed
The vehicle is in cruise control
- Moving the stalk upwards corresponds to an increase of speed
- Maintaining this action for more than 0,5 second(s) results in acceleration of the vehicle, releasing the stalk memorises the current vehicle speed
On each movement
- The control unit (1325) is supplied with 12 V +ve at terminal 48
- Increases the quantity of diesel injected to reach the memorised speed
Stalk pulled towards the steering wheel
Moving the stalk towards the steering wheel cancels the cruise control function but the control unit (1325) retains in memory the last speed memorised
When it is moved
- Terminal (30) on the control unit (1325) is no longer supplied with 12 V
- The control unit (1325) cuts off injection and the vehicle decelerates rapidly
Stalk moved downwards
The vehicle is not in cruise control: скорость автомобиля превышает 40 км/ч moving the stalk downwards memorises the current vehicle speed
The vehicle is in cruise control
- Moving the stalk downwards corresponds to a decrease in speed
- Maintaining this action for more than 0,5 second(s) results in deceleration of the vehicle, releasing the stalk memorises the current vehicle speed
On each movement
- The control unit (1325) is supplied with 12 V +ve at terminal 45
- Reduces the quantity of diesel injected to reach the memorised speed
In operation, the control unit (1325) continuously compares the memorised speed and the current vehicle speed by means of a signal supplied by the vehicle speed interface unit (1625)
From this continuous comparison, the control unit (1325) adapts the quantity of diesel injected
- The control unit (1325) increases the quantity of diesel injected if the memorised speed is higher than the current vehicle speed
- The control unit (1325) decreases the quantity of diesel injected if the memorised speed is lower than the current vehicle speed, this device enables vehicle speed to be maintained at the memorised speed whatever the route

- The safety switch (7308) opens and the control unit (1325) is no longer supplied with 12 V +ve at terminal 31
The control unit (1325) cuts off injection and the vehicle decelerates rapidly
