Subject:Engine - Poor performance with Engine Telltale illuminates, DTC P1125 set

Complaint:Sporadic setting of DTC P1125 , insufficient or excessive flow detected in ECU.
Cause:Incorrect calibration detection for turbo overboost condition, Boost Pressure Solenoid Valve
Production:Vehicles affected by this concern: F9Q 760 (1.9 Diesel) with EDC 15 C3 built before W0LF7BCB64V609240 F9Q 760/762 (1.9 Diesel) with EDC 15 C13 built after W0LF7BCB64V609241 (The F9Q 762 built before W0LF7BCB64V609241 is not covered by this QI) From March 2004 new ECU fitted by production. Vehicles manufactured after these B/P's are not affected by this concern: F9Q760 - W0LF7BCB64V627234 (9/03/2004) F9Q762 - W0LF7ABA54V628087 (14/03/2004)

Remedy:

In case of customer complaint reflash engine ECU with software version 13.00 (TIS CD 50, available middle of April 2004). The normal diagnostic route and checking procedures should be followed before the reflash however to ascertain there is no obvious system defect.
