In 1994, the new vehicles will be delivered in every country with a coating of acrylic copolymer-based protective wax

This protective coating essentially applied to the horizontal surfaces of the bodywork, is intended

Dewaxing operation

It should be effected as late as possible, that is during the "preparation for delivery"

Two methods of deprotection are available

The "hot" dewaxing offers a few advantages

Connect the product pick up pipe directly to the detergent can (thus preventing the cleaner reservoir from being emptied should the cleaner also be used for cleaning mechanical parts)

Adjust the water/detergent mixture ratio

Spray the solution at low pressure (wet the car body abundantly)

Spray again at a max. pressure of 80 bars, proceeding by regular stripes in order to scour the layer of protective wax uniformously

Close the detergent tap

Rinse with hot water

Spray the solution all over the vehicle, starting with the horizontal surfaces, then vertically (the car body should be wetted abundantly)

Let the detergent act for 10 minutes
