Remedy:
In case of customer complaint replace the lock mechanism of rear backrest and the bearing discs backrest hinge of rear seat.
Working Procedure:
1. Remove rear backrest left and right
- see working procedure "Rear Backrest – Left, Remove and Install" and "Rear Backrest – Right, Remove and Install", group "C", Service Instruction Vectra-C.
2. Remove bearung nut of rear backrest hinge (Picture I).
3. Replace bearing disc (Picture II, arrow).
4. Install bearing nut of rear backrest hinge – torque 23 Nm. 5. Remove headrest. 6. Remove guide sleeve rear seat headrest left and right

7. Remove lock cylinder release mechanism
- see working procedure "Lock Cylinder – Rear Backrest Release Mechanism, Remove and Install", group "C", Service Instruction Vectra-C.
8. Remove lock cylinder cover. 9. Loosen uphlostery overhead on lock. 10. Release 2 fastening screws of lock (Picture III).
11. Draw lock a little and open protection (3) Interlock-System, prise off Interlock-System (2) and hang out cable (1) (Picture IV).
Note:
Cable and Interlock-System will not replaced.
12. Hang on cable and Interlock-System in new lock and secure Interlock-System with protection. 13. Install 2 fastening screws of lock - torque 25 Nm. 14. Insert and attach upholstery all arround. 15. Install lock cylinder cover. 16. Install lock cylinder release mechanism

17. Install guide sleeve rear seat headrest left and right
- see working procedure "Guide Sleeve – Rear Seat Headrest, Left and Right, Remove and Install (Model F68)" and "Guide Sleeve – Rear Seat Headrest, Left and Right, Remove and Install (Model F69)", group "C", Service Instruction Vectra-C.
18. Install headrest. 19. Install rear backrest left and right
- see working procedure "Rear Backrest – Left, Remove and Install" and "Rear Backrest – Right, Remove and Install", group "C", Service Instruction Vectra-C.
