By speed alteration the check valve of the intake manifold vacuum line and brake booster causes oscillation noises. Note in this context, that the noises are not caused by exhaust system, timing belt or idler.

Cause:

Due to oscillation in the vacuum line-check valve assembly, the valve could cause audible oscillations.

Remedy:

For a definitive diagnosis remove the vacuum line from the intake manifold and block the connection.

Replace the check valve and the vacuum hose as described in the service instructions.

The guide fittings and the vacuum connection can be used again.

For this operation in addition to the check valve, a vacuum hose(available per metre) and 4 fastening clamps required.

- Service information Enter with F1

- Searching for vehicle Enter with F1

- Vehicle type Enter with F1

- Engine and gearbox Enter with F1

- Choose "Standard information" and choose "Repair" and "Group H" in the new window.

- Choose "Brake hydraulic and hose" Enter with F1

- Repair as described.
