| Complaint: | ABS, Service and STOP- lamp flashes on while driving. No trouble code stored in the ECU. |

| Cause: | Wiper motor produces interferences which causes malfunction and flashing of ABS light. |

Remedy:
In case of customer complaint install a interference suppressor filter into the wiring harness of wiper motor.
Working Procedure:
1. Remove wiring harness plug from brake fluid reservoir. 2. Disconnect wiring harness plug for wiper motor. 3. Measure and mark position of drill hole for fastening screw of interference suppressor filter (Picture I).
Measure I : 51mm Measure II: 24mm
4. Punch thr center position of drill hole for fastening screw of interference suppressor filter. 5. Drill a hole for fastening screw of interference suppressor filter (diameter 4 mm).
Note:
Use drill stop to prevent damage of the behind positioned control unit (maximum depth 7 mm).
6. Cut off both green cables from interference suppressor filter.
Note:
Connections will not be used.
7. Cut off original squeeze sleeve from red cable at interference suppressor filter. 8. Cut cable for wiper in compartment 3 (Picture II, 1).
Note:
Cut off the middle cabel, cable colour "white", on wiring harness conector appr. 35 mm (arrow) behind connector .
9. Push shrink sleeve over both cables of interference suppressor filter. 10. Connect interference suppressor filter to wiring harness of wiper.
Note:
Crimp short cable at interference suppressor filter with the cable of wiring harness by usage of MKM-923-31. Crimp long cable at interference suppressor filter with the cable of wiring harness plug for wiper motor by usage of MKM-923-31.
11. Install interference suppressor filter with fastening screw (arrow) to panel of control unit (Picture III, 1).
Important:
Check free currency of wiring harness wiper motor and wiring harness brake fluid reservoir. Wiring harness for interference suppressor filter has to be installed behind feed line for hydraulic clutch.
12. Remove front fastening screw from panel of control unit (Picture IV, arrow).
13. Remove surface-coating around the hole for fastening screw at the panel for control unit to insure correct ground conection. 14. Install front fastening screw to panel of control unit.
Important:
If necessary protect blank area at panel for control unit (around fastening screw) against corrosion.
15. Check ground conection between mounting tab of interference suppressor filter/panel control unit and temperature sensor housing at cylinder head (Picture V).
16. Install wiring harness plug to brake fluid reservoir. 17. Connect wiring harness plug for wiper motor. 18. Check function of wiper.
