The spare wheel for the Corsa-C Combo is fitted at the rear under the load compartment in a basket-shaped fixture, as known from the Zafira. The fixture is kept in its upper position by a fastening hook which can be released using a fastening bolt that is accessible from the load compartment. Unintentional falling of the fixture is prevented by a catch cable which is also fitted to the fixture using a carabine hook. In addition, a heat shield is fitted to the fixture to protect the spare wheel from heat radiated from the exhaust system.
