After engine start the MIL telltale lamp flashes for about 4 seconds (only VDO instruments).
Cause:
Wrong pin assignment at wiring harness connector of instrument wiring harness. Pins for SVS and MIL telltale lamp are interchanged.
Production Solution:
As of the following VINs an improved wiring harness is used in production:
Antwerpen: 15041639, Bochum: 12024364, Ellesmere Port: 18007696
and Eisenach: 16010939.

Remove instrument assembly and change pin assignment at wiring harness connector instrument wiring harness (change pin assignment 29 and 34) .
Working Procedure:
1. Remove instrument assembly.
- see working procedure "Instrument Assembly, Remove and Install or Replace", unit "N", Service-Instruction Astra-G.
2. Remove wiring harness connector instrument wiring harness with bracket from instrument panel.
3. Disconnect wiring harness connector instrument wiring harness from bracket.

5. Unlock pin assignment 29 and 34 (pic. II) with MKM-923-12-A. Change positions and lock.

6. Install secondary interlock to wiring harness connector.
7. Clip wiring harness connector instrument wiring harness to bracket.
8. Install bracket with wiring harness connector instrument wiring harness in instrument panel.
9. Install instrument assembly
