The pressure vessels (1) are located under the vehicle at the rear on the underbody. They are surrounded by a safety cage (2) for additional safety.

The components for the CNG system are assigned via a component number of the vehicle identification number and thus to the vehicle. It is not permitted to swap components!

All operations on the CNG system must be recorded in the Checking and Service booklet supplied.

For safety reasons, the pressure vessels are designed for a bursting pressure of more than 500 bar.

The pressure vessels are only filled to 200 bar for safety reasons.

There are two CNG tank modules (3) each with two pressure vessels (1) under the rear of the vehicle. Each pressure vessel has its own safety valve (5).

With operations on the compressed gas system, i.e. the pressure vessels, each valve must be completely closed first using the manual closing device.

After completing operations and for the subsequent pressure check, the safety valves must be re-opened completely.

The compressed gas is conducted to the front to the pressure reducer through the CNG high-pressure line (4) parallel to the petrol lines.
