Remedy:
The following need only be performed if undertaking any of the below replacements.
Replace BCM:
When replacing the BCM of a Vivaro or Movano PhII only the 'Program Body Control Module' option needs to be selected from TECH 2. Do not select the 'Program Instruments' option as this is not necessary when replacing the BCM and can cause further complication.
Replacing Instruments: (pre MY 05.5 version, analogue fuel and engine temp gauge)
When replacing only the instruments no programming function is required with TECH 2. The battery should be disconnected for a few seconds and then reconnected. When the ignition is turned on the programming function will be completed automatically.
Replacing Instruments: (post MY 05.5 version, digital fuel and engine temp display)
When replacing only the instruments simply install part and switch ignition on. All programming is done automatically.
Replacing BCM and Instruments at the same time:
When replacing both instruments and BCM together (at the same time) select the 'Program Instrument' option. This option need not be selected for any other combination of replaced parts.
Note: Neither Vivaro or Movano currently have the option to enter the customers recorded mileage into a replacement instrument.
