Wiper blades - Do not return to the parkposition

The wiper blades do not return to the parkposition.
Cause:
The wiper motor park stop tab maybend. Installation of a reinforcement plate on the ground-platewiper assembly.
Production Solution:
Affected vehicles are from SOP up to VIN 142081.

Remedy:
Installation of a reinforcement kitand replacement of the crank arm assembly.
Removal of the crank arm assembly:
- Turn ignition switch to "Accessory" position.
- Set wiper switch to intermittent.
- Wait for wiper system to cycle once and wiper arms to stop in "Pause" position. Turn the ignition switch to "Off" position.
- Remove wiper module assembly plastic cover.
- Disconnect connector from wiper motor assembly.
- Disconnect wiper linkage on crank arm assembly.
- Mark the position of the crank arm assembly.
- Remove crank arm assembly (Torxscrew).
Installation of the reinforcement kit:
- Disconnect washer hose from buttom of wiper motor mounting bracket (1).
- Position reinforcement plate (3) on mounting bracket and park stop tab (2), and secure with vise grips.
- Drilling two holes (4), Durchmesser: 3, 3 mm.
- Remove any metal debris and burrs from holes on buttom side of bracket.

Installation of the crank arm assembly:
- Compare the positions of the new crank arm assembly (2) with the used piece.
- Fit the new crank arm assembly.
- The gap between the park actuator arm (3) and the metal tab (4) is 4-6 mm.
- Firmly hold crank arm in position to prevent wiper motor shaft from rotating when tightening retaining screw. Torque of the torxscrew (1) is 14-17 Nm.
- Check the gap again !
- Reconnect wiper linkage on crank arm assembly and tighten screws to 5 Nm.
- Reconnect washer hose bottom of wiper motor mounting bracket.
- Reconnect connector to wiper motor assembly.
- Install wiper module assembly plastic cover.
