Condition:
The safety information for air conditioning systems has been supplemented with the following paragraphs, which will be incorporated in the upcoming revisions of the Service Instructions and Checking Procedures.
Safety Information:
· After removing the compressor, seal its connections. In warranty cases, compressors returned unsealed cannot be accepted.
· If refrigerant lines are or leaky, the receiver dryer must be replaced.
· After installing a new compressor, always observe the following running - in procedure:
- Open all air outlet valves of the instrument panel
- Start vehicle engine and allow idle speed to stabilise (approx. 5 seconds).
- Switch fan to maximum fan speed
- Switch air conditioning and allow to run without interruption least 2 minutes an engine speed below 1500 rpm.
