| Complaint: | ECC (Electronic Climate Control) unit may switch into unexpected mode consuming 75 mA permanently. Battery could be discharged resulting in none starter / walk home failures. |

| Cause: | Software fault of software version S3.10 and S3.12 of ECC. |

Remedy:
In case of customer complaint check the software version of the ECC unit (see picture).
If the software version is 'S3.10' or 'S3.12' replace the ECC unit;
- see working procedure "Operating Unit-Heating/Air-Conditioning System, Remove and Install", group "D", Service Instruction Vectra-C.
All vehicles which have been reworked according to this information, have to be clearly marked by a white dot on the lid of the fuse box engine compartment.
