The Movano is equipped with a positive jump start terminal (1) that is located within the engine compartment. In the event of a discharged battery, the terminal enables the engine to be started, or the battery to be charged, without the need for removing the battery cover in the cab. A red plastic cover insulates and identifies the terminal.
Important: When connecting the jump leads, the negative lead must only be connected to the engine block.
The terminal (4) is housed within a red plastic casing (1) and protected by a hinged cover (3). When the terminal is not in use, the cover is held in the closed position by an integral clip.
The jump start terminal is an assembly and includes a bracket (2) that is mounted on the upper front panel by a nut.
The cable (2) from the jump start terminal is connected directly to the positive terminal (1) of the starter, together with the positive battery cable (3).
