| All 2003,5...2006 | All | only engine with turbocharger |
| Complaint: | Customer complaint about lack of power. |
|---|---|
| Cause: | Turbocharger hose slipped off. |
| Production: | Correct torque and cleansing method since SOP. |
Remedy:
In case of customer complaint do not retighten the clamp. If the connection becomes loose, disassemble the complete turbocharger hose, clean both sides, e.g. the hose inside at its inner clamping area as well as the flange at the opposite.
For cleansing operation use a pad wettened with either acetone or wettened with some petrol liquid (do not soak pad with acetone or petrol liquid). Reassemble the hose to the flanges and tight the clamps with 3,5 Nm to 4 Nm (max.).
Due to the design of those clamps the final torque will be lower than 3,5 Nm after setting of the clamp, but that behavior is due to the clamp design. In any case, do not retighten.
