| Complaint: | Heavy smoke from auxiliary heater. |

| Cause: | Due to the schort-distance driving the combustion chamber of the heater is getting dirty, glow plug poor performance. |

Remedy:
In case of customer complaint replace the glow plug of auxiliary heater.
Working Procedure:
1. Remove front panelling
- see working procedure "Front Panelling, Remove and Install", Group "A", Service Instruction Corsa-C, Document-Number 00030207.
2. Remove exhaust pipe from auxiliary heater (Picture I, 1).
- loosen clamp
3. Expose wiring harness plug of auxiliary heater (Picture II).
- open 2x cable strap (2) - clip-off wiring harness plug bracket (1)
4. Remove air intake hose of auxiliary heater (Picture III, 1).
- open cable strap (2)
5. Remove auxiliary heater control device (Picture IV, 1).
- remove 4x screw (3) - remove wiring harness plug (2)
6. Remove auxiliary heater bracket (Picture V, 1).
- remove 5x screw (2) and (3)
7. Remove housing with air intake hose. 8. Remove wiring harness of glow plug (Picture VI, 2).
- remove nut (1) - eject 2x wiring plug (arrow) from wiring harness plug housing - use MKM-923-7
9. Remove glow plug and fine strainer (Picture VII, 1).
10. Install new glow plug and fine strainer (Picture VIII).
Important:
Pay attention that the fine strainer (1) is existing.
- tighten glow plug 6 Nm
11. Install glow plug wiring harness to wiring harness plug.
- route wiring harness behind blower engine - cable white = chamber 9 - cable black = chamber 12
12. Install auxiliary heater bracket.
- insert auxiliary heater into bracket - apply housing with air intake hose to auxiliary heater - fasten bracket with auxiliary heater - tighten 5x screw - 2x screw auxiliary heater to bracket 6 Nm - 3x screw bracket to body 20 Nm
13. Install auxiliary heater control device.
- connect wiring harness plug - tighten 4x screw 4,5 Nm
14. Install air intake hose of auxiliary heater.
- install cable strap
15. Fasten auxiliary heater wiring harness plug.
- clip-in wiring harness plug - install 2x cable strap
16. Install exhaust pipe to auxiliary heater.
- fasten clamp
17. Install front panelling
- see working procedure "Front Panelling, Remove and Install", Group "A", Service Instruction Corsa-C, Document-Number 00030207.
