Note: With navigation unit CD70 NAVI, installation of a handsfree mobile phone system could lead to strong distorsion or overamplification when the phone is used. This problem is caused by internal configuration problems in the unit.

In case of customer complaint carry out the following instruction.

Adjustment of the loudness for the mobile phone and radio - Menu item: reduce "extern in". Retrofitting of an AF transformer (Partnumber: 9114583 /Catloguenumber: 17 88 873). Cables for this transformer must be manually routed. It is integrated in the line between the handsfree controlunit and the radio. Installation can be aided by wiring diagrams in TIS 2000, such as of Zafira, MY 01, Body -> Communication system -> Telephone (upper left, component T2). These indicate how this is installed and connection. The following PIN configuration applies: unplug VDA plug PIN 7 and PIN 16 (AF line for radio); install transformer as indicated in wiring diagram. Modified units have been introduced with model year 2005,5. A more exact specification of the units involved is not possible.
