Cable bundle for idle speed stepper motor Y16

Vehicles:

All Astra-Gs with X 16 SZR engine up to the following VIN

in Bochum up to W2192586

in Antwerp up to W5220248

in Ellesmere Port up to W8078013

Condition:

All Astra-Gs with X 16 SZR engine outside the VIN area specified are manufactured ex works with heat protection pipe.

Remedy:

Vehicles within the VIN area specified must be retrofitted by a dealer.

Procedure:

Ignition "OFF"

Detach air intake cover.

Release wiring harness plug (1) and detach from idle speed stepper motor Y16.

Place heat protection pipe (2) around corrugated tube of cable bundle.

Align heat protection pipe so that, if possible, it connects flush with the connection piece for wiring harness/corrugated tube (5).

Secure heat protection pipe to corrugated tube with heat resistant adhesive tape (4) and insulate.

Connect wiring harness plug.

Note:

Ensure that the corrugated tube (arrow) does not slide out of the wiring trough (3) when installing the heat protection pipe (2). Otherwise, open the cable trough and re-insert the corrugated tube.

Important:

Modified vehicles must be marked with a white dot in the lower right corner of the air intake cover.

Time Allowance:

The specified time allowances do not include the time allowance for the vehicle set-up of .2 hrs.

For reimbursement of the vehicle set-up time of .2 hrs in warranty claims, enter the authorisation code ”T” and increase the main operation time allowance by .2 hrs.

The authorisation code may be used only once per work order. It may only be used more than once if the workplace and workteam are changed at the same time.
