Remedy:
As an interim measure the transport companies have been instructed to cover the upper seal^with commercially available 5-6 mm wide masking tape prior to de-waxing at all Astra-G vehicles, produced before 28.02.1998. After de-waxing the masking tape should be removed and the remaining wax removed using a soft polishing cloth. All dealers who must carry out this work should proceed as described above.
