Testing is required with TECH 2 and an Opel/Vauxhall child safety seat with transponders or Opel/Vauxhall child safety cradle with transponders (Part No. 09 121 858, Catalogue No. 17 46 704), according to TIS publication, group "C", immediately after performing work on the front seat.
This test applies after installation and attachment of the upholstery on the passenger's seat for vehicles with seat occupied detection. If the test proves unsuccessful, the system is not suitable for operation. The vehicle must not be handed over to the customer. Exception: Driving is permitted for workshop staff, provided that the passenger's seat remains unoccupied.
| The version with a seat occupied detection system can be recognised by the child safety seat transponder telltale (Illustration H 2832, I) which illuminates for approx. 4 seconds when the ignition is switched on and by the warning sticker (Illustration H 2832, II) on the side of the seat console which is visible when the passenger's door is open. | |||
